EASTON – Harold “Hank” R. Kierstead, Sr., 62, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 22, 2013 in his hometown of Easton. Hank was born in Presque Isle, the son of Willis and Erma (Green) Kierstead, and stepson of Woodrow (Woodie) Cummings.
Hank owned and operated Hank Kierstead and Sons Logging, as well as operating the apartment buildings he owned in Easton. He was a wonderful husband, father, and the best friend anyone could have. He has too many friends to mention here, but they all know who they are, and the memories Hank cherished with them.
Hank is survived by his wife Cathy Ann Kierstead; his children Lance, Barbara and her husband Christopher Allyn, and J.R. (Harold Jr) and his girlfriend Jodi Tash; by his step children Billy and his wife Rachael McDivitt and Katrina and her husband Adrien Ellis; his grandchildren Nicholas, MaKala, Kalee, Spencer and Kimberly; and by his siblings and their spouses, Elaine and Larry Noyes, Sandy and Bill Ouellette, and Stephen Kierstead and his wife Tonya Argust. He is also survived by his father and mother in law, Fred and Anita Rattray, sister in laws and their spouses, Barb and Phil Halvorson, and Debbie and Steve Rooney, and a special sister in law, Bonnie and Roger Plante.
In addition to his parents, Hank was predeceased by his first wife Sandra Lee Ann Rattray, and a father and mother in law, Leo Paul and Myrtle Jandreau.
